"Look for naked people"
My parents tried to teach my siblings and I at a very young age to close the blinds when we are changing otherwise people can see into your window. Every Sunday when we drove home from dinner at my grandparents house we would pass the same large apartment building and one time parents yelled out, “look for naked people”. My siblings and I thought this was the funniest thing we had ever heard and over the years it became a tradition to yell the phrase out each time we passed the building. While we never actually saw any naked people, we could see people, and I was always fascinated by the vastly different scenes unfolding in each window. I was inspired to start painting these apartment window paintings depicting the various things we all do in the comfort of our own homes. This painting is the fourth apartment painting I have completed and I hope it serves as a reminder to close your blinds when you are changing!
