“It’s around here somewhere”
24” x 35”
“It’s around here somewhere” is a piece of a larger project, “But there are Flowers on the Budweiser Sandwich,” where I am taking significant influence from Surrealist art and its fascination with the subconscious and dream reality. As art is often used as a tool to communicate, I looked inward and took interest in the things the brain is saying when the subconscious is at work. I created tableaux-like images, like this one, that are creative portraits inspired by scenes and emotions from my own dreams, with the title being dream-inspired itself, resulting in my own subconscious coming to life.
